Sanctuary, Healing & Calm

When you're burned out and life is overwhelming, building

and maintaining a village seems an impossible task.

This retreat is designed for you: the busy human who desperately needs a break. But more than that, needs to be nurtured, held and restored.

Imagine a week in a beautiful, peaceful setting- a part of Italy most people haven't yet experienced - where you get to be a whole person, experiencing the simple pleasures of yoga, healing artmaking sessions, journaling, ayurveda, and amazing fresh food.

We're reclaiming our peace, shifting from a cup-half-empty mentality to one of abundance. We're here to support you as you tap into your resources: resilience, strength and a network you can count on.

To top it off, you'll have access to the sauna and jaccuzzi,

and bonus guided visits to incredible regional sites.

THE LOCATION

Our retreat center is a charming resort and organic farm located in southern Puglia in the heart of Salento, the heel of the Italian boot.

The farm is surrounded by nature and silence in the center of Salento, Zollino, just 10 minutes from Lecce. The only sounds you can hear are the wind, the chirping of birds, and crickets and cicadas. The intrinsic quality of the place and the decisions made in renovating the farmhouse have made this place perfect for a true
relaxing yoga retreat getaway.

The site is a mix of tradition and innovation, of ancient and modern: two elegant ancient buildings from the early 20th century are near recently renovated buildings that host the guest rooms and restaurant. All buildings are surrounded by a green park, beautifully designed by a true master of landscape architecture: Annalisa Calcagno Maniglio. In the park is a large pool, with sun chairs and gazebos and several green fields. With hammocks hidden between the trees it's a true paradise.

THE TEAM

DANA SAYLOR, CO-LEADER

I'm an artist, historian, preservation advocate and event planner. My "superpower" is human connection and I'm proud of my strong network of friends and colleagues. Many of the people in my circles I've met through volunteering and community activism. In 2016, an art/history residency outside of Florence, Italy changed my trajectory and led me toward collaborations I couldn't have imagined. My cousins in Italy have helped me stay connected to my heritage, and I am so excited to share the beautiful countryside with you there.

I have planned this retreat with you in mind, and selected our teachers and venue with great care. I look forward to meeting each of you individually during a coaching session, or one of our unstructured meal or down times.

KATHERINE YANNUCCI, CO-LEADER

Katherine is a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, E-RYT 500 Yoga Teacher, Global Retreat Leader, and a Master Reiki Practitioner. She is a member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) and Yoga Alliance. As a lifelong student of holistic health modalities, she loves to share the teachings with her clients, friends and family.

Kathy began her yoga journey in the fall of 2000 at the Dharma Yoga Center in New York City after being diagnosed with hyperthyroid. A passion for Yoga and Ayurveda have led her to pursue certifications in both, in an effort to be of better service to family, students and wellness clients. Her fluid yoga style is sometimes referred to as a “dance", linking one pose to the next with each breath. Her studies and health experiences with Yoga, Reiki, Chinese Medicine, and Ayurveda, have led her to teach in a way that blends all of these practices.

Kathy loves to teach and empower women to take control of their health with a holistic approach based on the ancient practice of Ayurveda. Through online and local programs, she teaches how to use Ayurveda to maintain wellness, prevent illness and restore health of the mind, body and spirit.

Currently living in Orlando, Florida with her family, Kathy loves the beach, nature, walking, yoga, traveling, eating food made with LOVE, and all things wellness.

Favorite quote: “The more you let Ayurveda and Yoga become the basis for your living, the easier living gets.” - Myra Lewin
